Why is Preschool Education Crucial?

You might have seen that most parents these days start sending their children to preschool as soon as they turn 2. Now, there are a lot of people who think that this is unfair to the little one who should get time to play and relax at home. Citing these reasons, a number of people overlook the need to send their kids to preschool.
However, experts believe that preschool education is actually crucial for the proper growth and development of your child. Take a look at the importance of preschool education in India:
1.    Prepares them for School: First things first, sending your child to preschool would get him acquainted with the routine of getting up in the morning and getting ready to school. If you send your child to preschool, you won’t have to face any tantrums when your child starts regular school.
2.    Learning Social Behaviours and Skills: You might shower your child with lots of love and pamper him at home. However, this is not going to help him in any way in the outside world. In a preschool, your child will learn how to behave in a social setup. He would learn effective communication, sharing, waiting for turns, making friends and many other things. It is not always possible to teach a child all this at home.
3.    Learning Basics: No matter how hard you try, it is not easy to teach your child the basics like alphabets, number and rhymes at home. He would have a shorter attention span. But when it comes to preschool education in India, children are taught these basics through play. This grabs the attention of the child and teaches him a number of things.
4.     Getting in Touch with the Creative Side: In preschools, children are introduced to a number of creative activities like drawing, paintings, crafts, singing, dancing etc. This makes it easier for you to realise the creative potential of your child. Most preschoolers are not really very forthcoming about their creative side when at home. However, proximity of well-trained teachers and kids of their age brings this out in a better way.
5.    Improving Motor Skills: It is important that you engage your child in activities that improve his motor skills. However, it is not always possible for you to pay attention to this at home what with other commitments. But, if you send your little one to preschool, the teachers there would engage your child in various activities that would help in enhancing the motor skills of the little one.

With a number of good preschools having opened up, preschool education in India has become quite good. So, if you have a preschooler at home, go ahead and enroll him or her in a preschool to reap the benefits of early education.
