Central Board of Secondary Education is a board of education functioning under Government of India and is responsible to giving affiliation to government as well as private schools in India and thus holds the responsibility to design education policies which affect the future of numerous children studying in Schools affiliated from CBSE Board.
Acting on the responsibility CBSE has done some of the ground breaking changes to the traditional way of education, Open Book Examination and Mathematics Laboratories being a few of them. In order to connect young students with their Roots in history, CBSE organize CBSE Expression Series. The students are given some topics every second Friday & Saturday of the month and within the time provided they are supposed to write Essay or Poem and submit the same.
The details of the Expression series are as follow:
Eligibility: In order to be a part of the expression series the applicant should full fill the following conditions:
- The Applicant must be a student of any school affiliated to Central Board of secondary Education.
- Only Indian citizens studying in class 1-12 are eligible to take part in expression series.
- The poem or essay can be in English or any 22 Languages scheduled in Constitution of India.
- Category 1: for students of class 1-5.
- Category 2: for students of class 6-8.
- Category 3: for students of class 9-12.
- Cash Prize: The candidate selected as the winner from each category will get cash prize of Rs. 2500.
- Certificate: The winner will get ‘Certificate of Merit’ while everyone who participated will get ‘Certificate of Participation’.
There are three categories for the students to participate based on the class in which they are studying:
Format of the Competition:
Topic: Every month a topic is given to each category and the participants are supposed to write their own poem or essay on the given topic and submit them via proper channel to be eligible for the prize. The topics provided are either related to great leader and their contribution to the Nation or some other topic which are related to Nation, society or women.
Submission: The original creations of the students are to be submitted either online or by using Mobile App. The link to submit the poem/essay will be activated only for the time mentioned for submission of the entries.
