Indian Oil Educational Scholarship

Indian Oil Corporation Limited Educational Scholarship is Merit Cum Means scholarship, offered to the students of class 10, ITI, Engg Students, MBBS, MBA. The Scholarship is a part of IOCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility and helps those meritorious students who are in need of financial assistance.

  • While awarding the scholarship, preference will be given to candidates having family income less than Rs. 60,000.
  • Relaxation of 3, 5, 10 years is available for the candidates belonging to OBC, SC/ST and Person with Disability candidates respectively.
  • While being benefited by IOCL Scholarship, candidates should not receive benefit from any other scholarship.
  • IOCL employees, its Joint Venture, Subsidiary companies and Consultants of the IOCL Scholarship are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • On all India basis 25% seats are reserved for girls and 10% is reserved for Person with Disabilities.

Under this scholarship 2600 scholarships are offered, out of which 2000 scholarships are for the students of  10+/ITI while remaining 600 scholarships are for students pursuing Engineering, MBBS & MBA. The Scholarships are given on the basis of the marks obtained by the applicant in the qualifying examination. The details related to the eligibility, application process and other related topics are as follow:

Eligibility: The applicant should fulfill the following conditions to be eligible to make application for the scholarship:

Education Qualification: The students studying class 11 or first year of ITI, Engineering, MBBS or MBA in school/colleges/institutions having affiliation from AICTE / State Education Boards / State Govt. / CBSE / Central Govt. / Association of Indian universities.

Family Income: In order to be eligible for the scholarship the Annual Gross Joint income of candidate’s family should be less than Rs. 1 lakh.


Age: The applicant’s age should be between 15 to 30 years while making the application for the scholarship.


Restrictions of the scholarship:


Reservation:  49.5% of the scholarships are reserved and out of the reserved, 15% seats are for SC candidates, 7.5 % seats are for ST candidates and 27% seats are for candidates belonging to OBC category.


Scholarship Benefits: The applicant will get scholarship as per the course being undertaken by him/her. The number of scholarships available to various sections and scholarship amount is as follow:

Application Process: The applications for the scholarship are to be made online but the printout of the application form along with other required documents are to be sent via post.
